Maximilian Joel Derston

Max Derston was born to Deborah Derston and some random loser that knocked her up on January 6, 1986 in New York City, which was a complete mistake happening while she was drunk, but the mistake brought the love of her life, her son Max. She soon moved to Hoboken, New Jersey to be with her Mother Kathy and became a bartender at one of the popular bars. Kathy took care of Max while Deb worked nights and had a little routine going on, until David Harper came into the picture, the real prince charming that blew her regular jack ass, abusive and drug addictive winners she usually picked. David fell in love with her and Max, and didn’t want them being in the environment they had been in and swept them to his house in Longport, New Jersey. He was upper middle class and had the materialistic things to prove it.

Although, they had their trials and tribulations like most couples, the two were soon married and expecting in 1991. David owned a car dealership with his brother, and invested some money in a business; specifically a catering business for Deb. Max had all he ever wanted as long as he had the grades to pay for it and ended up working at his father’s dealership washing cars in the summers. After high school ended, instead of going off to college as if his mother dreamed about, seeing her son off to an ivy league, he decided to stick around. The avid movie lover and film maker decided to take some classes at the local community college to please his mother, while working at the movie theater. He just wanted to chill for a couple of years and try to life without stressing over homework or essays. But has recently decided to become serious about school and has enough credits to transfer to a university if he wanted. He wants to become a teacher of all things, but that’ll change.

In January of 2009, his life kind of changed although he doesn’t know it yet. A couple of days after the New Year, he ended up hooking up, not once, but twice in one night with his co worker, Dodger. Session number one ended up in the projection room where they were screening The Unborn, which muffled the sounds coming from the room and during his lunch break he made a quick run to the liquor store and grabbed some 40s of Mickey’s and a bottle of cheap tequila. They ended up closing up alone that night after Greg left and drunkenly hooked up all over the movie theatre in complete privacy. This random night has led to one little detail, Dodger’s pregnant and Max is the father. Their next shift, they went back to goofing off while scrubbing the nasty floors and then she left to go on a trip with her best friend.

He shrugged it off and went on with his life, then around Valentine’s day, his parents jetted off to Paris and have been there ever since. So he’s bumming it around his parents’ house with his sister, although he lives in the apartment above the garage…he sleeps in the house, to make sure she doesn’t have any boys over in the middle of the night. Working at the theater and trying to figure out where he’s going to transfer in the fall. Max Derston is about to be hit with “A what the fuck?” moment that is going to change his life for the next eighteen years.

• works at the movie theater with Dodger Chalfont, they're not total BFFs but they goof around and sometimes get lunch together. She provides the entertainment when they're stuck cleaning theatres.

• harry potter fan and twilight hater, had to work the midnight showing and almost set off the fire alarm to shut the screeching fan girls up when edward first appeared on screen.
• secretly a disney buff, toy story is his favorite.
• loves movies in general. wanted to be a filmmaker or the next big director. now wants to be a history teacher.
• wide music variety. his favorites include, kanye, muse, slipknot, disturbed, linkin park, metallica and oldies. he's not above of blasting britney spears if he has to be up before 9 am.
• overprotective of his little sister, caught her hanging out with a bad ass wannabe guido and scared the ever living shit out of him. they have a love/hate relationship. he's cool with it.
